The Cove Swim School is a dedicated, free-standing swim school in Smithfield, RI built around one thing: helping swimmers feel safe and confident in the water.
Our team brings 20+ years of swim instruction experience, with training and certifications through Starfish Aquatics Institute, USA Swimming, and the American Red Cross.
From our warm 90° pool to structured skill progression and regular parent updates, everything is designed to help swimmers learn comfortably and make steady progress.

A Message from Our Co-Founder
Like many parents, I wanted my child to learn how to swim as early as possible. I quickly discovered that finding quality swim lessons wasn’t easy. We were placed on waiting lists at three different swim schools and waited more than a year and a half without being able to enroll.
That experience opened my eyes to a serious need in our community. There is an overwhelming demand for children’s swim lessons, but not enough programs to meet that need. Families shouldn’t have to wait months, or years, for their children to learn a skill that could one day save their lives.
That’s why I decided to open The Cove Swim School.
Our mission is to provide exceptional swim instruction in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where every child can build confidence in the water. We are committed to making swim lessons more accessible, so families have the opportunity for their children to learn this essential life skill without long waiting lists.
We believe swimming is more than just a sport or recreational activity. It’s a lifelong skill that promotes confidence, safety, and independence. We are proud to serve our community by helping children become strong, confident swimmers, one lesson at a time.
